Who are they and What do you they do?

Wild Works are an "art led international theatre company".  They produce site-specific performances in urban or rural settings and choose places that have an upcoming dramatic change. They are "finding new purpose after the collapse of traditional industry, post-conflict, or on the brink of radical development" within these sites.
They were founded in 2005 by Bill Mitchell. They use the site to create the piece, with parts of their chosen story/text intertwined. They try to break the barriers between language and age. The meaning of their works stems from any interviews, encounters, stories or memories of the people around them they collected.
WildWorks's description of what they do:

“We want to create an understanding that theatre does not have to belong in buildings and be restricted to a certain class of people. Theatre can be in the open, be inspired by the everyday and the landscape – it can, and should, include local people in its creation. Together we Empower participants to probe feelings, thoughts, stories and memories to unlock narratives. Our work gives participants a reaffirming experience of art, celebrating what they do. It will place their culture, aptitude and environment center stage”.
